A week without war, or so the media would have us think thanks to the war of words between Obama and Wright.
Time to move on isn't it gentlemen? This bickering will do nothing more than help the other 2 anti-Christs that are in the hunt for the presidency. How this shit between Obama and his former pastor is more important news than our obvious positioning for the offensive against Iran is beyond me.
Obama being the man with the charm should be able to move past this stuff and concentrate on politics.

I wonder how much of the population of America knows anything about Rev. Wright other than what the carefully edited media presents? He is a former military man but he's also anti-America? The media takes his post 911 "comes home to roost" and crucifies him with it. They never play the entire speech and besides we know our country don't we? Or do we?
His comparison to al Qaeda really put him over the line. To some. Sending weapons and training insurgents is what we are using as a reason to attack Iran.But our CIA and special forces, such as the Green Berets, have been doing this for decades.

We have trained Afghans, Salvadorians, Nicaraguans , Hondurans, Cubans , Colombians, Filipinos, Koreans, Iraqis, Dominicans, various southeast Asian tribesmen, chechens, and who knows who. We have also been the trainers of brutal national police forces and death squads for decades. We groom and install dictators as long as they are "enemies of our enemies".
How many conflicts are there in the middle east right now? How many have something to do with Israel? If we stopped with the support of Israel how many conflicts would there be?
Our support of Israel is the one thing that other countries hate us more than anything for. How can we support a country that has attacked one of our naval ships and killed our men in June of 1967? How can we support a country that cries about genocide and Germans out of one side of their mouths and denies their very obvious systematic genocide of the Palestinians out of the other side of their mouths? With the mad dog mindset of the Israelis why do we trust them with nukes but not Iran? Also why do they spy on us and why do we allow people with duo citizenship of both the U.S. and Israel to have such important (like homeland security) jobs in our government?

Are we so cocky or for that matter, stupid, that we'd think for one minute that the Russians wouldn't love to see America falter? After all, we celebrated the fall of the USSR, which, to the Russians just might have been the equivalent of Arabs dancing to the fall of the WTC to us. We currently have probably the most notorious Chechen terrorist (to us he's a freedom fighter...) living large on the taxpayers dollar here in America. We also have our nose in other former USSR affairs, which we shouldn't be doing. The Serbs would also love to see us on our ass as well as most of the Semitic world, most of the Islamic world, a lot of Asia, and the big one, China. Taiwan will return to China voluntarily; commerce will be the bait. All the woofing we've been doing about defending Taiwan against China will not be forgotten by China however.We try and bullshit the people by taking the sheriff of the world stance. We've probably killed more people spreading Democracy than the Catholics did converting people to their religion. We have stood by and watched people in the Balkans be slaughtered because they were Muslim. We've watched slaughter in Africa because they are Black.Even closer to home we've ignored genocide (whoops! I forgot you can only use genocide when it comes to the Jews) in Peru, Brazil, Guatemala, and even Chiapas, Mexico. We handed Cambodia back over to Pol Pot. We made a sport of killing Filipinos at the turn of the last century must like we did with Native Americans.In fact the original names for the Filipino natives that American soldiers used were Nigger and Indian. We acquired Hawaii by taking the royal Hawaiian family hostage and forcing them to give up their islands. We are not as well liked as we thought.

The Brits and Co. are supposed to be our allies but we did provide help to the IRA over the years. In fact the same infra-red ignition used by the Iraqis against us right now was something the CIA gave the IRA who gave it to the Arabs. We trusted one terrorist/ freedom fighter group to keep something like that secret?
I wonder how many Americans have died as a result of warfare skills provided to the mountain warriors of Afghanistan by the CIA and our special forces?

When people say things like Rev. Wright has said, the automatic response is the paint one as "un-American". They also defend our reckless killing like southeast Asia, the Balkans, Germany, Japan, and now Iraq, with "they did this to protect democracy". Invading, murdering, and theft are not "protecting" democracy or anything else for that matter. Remember the strategy for Iraq? Once we made them a democracy the rest of the Arab world would follow suit. Hasn't worked so far.

No, I don't see any reason to bitch about Rev. Wrights comments. He's just saying "what goes around, comes around". Maybe instead of bitching we should be more aware of what we send around. Complaining about one man's views of the sins of America will not made the sins go away.
