writer's block

Either there's been a lot to talk about or very little. Who knows?

Can the news get anymore depressing? Your local news should pay you to watch it. There is just no good news. When you're not hearing about the insanity of the powers that run the world, they are talking about a crazed motherfucker doing something "crazed" within walking distance of you.
Tonight's news had a story about a guy that ran over a senior citizen in Alameda http://www.ktvu.com/news/16797591/detail.html, and killed him because his girlfriend had broken up with him. Unbelievable. This guy should be punished with a daily mauling of large wild dogs. Fucking asshole.
Also, right across the way, in Oakland, I know, hard to be shocked by Oakland anymore, has been that way for years, a 26 year old mother allowed her 4 yr old son to manage to blow off 3 of his fingers and a thumb, blind him in one eye, rupture his ear drum, and basically ruin the poor little child's life.http://www.ktvu.com/news/16848994/detail.html. For as much as the story about the guy running down the old man, I especially am bothered by the story of this woman allowing her child be to that unsafe, no matter what the reason she can come up with. As a father who had his beloved 4 year old daughter (see pic at bottom of page) die in his hands while trying frantically to provide CPR to her, this woman should be dealt the most horrifying (to her) punishment legally available, which might be simply to use her fucking brain if she knows it's whereabouts. Or, just let her live the way she's living, without her being near children, the sick, the elderly, animals, and people that are either physically or mentally handicapped. If this woman was so stupid as to allow for this to happen to her child, she is probably dumb enough to step in front of a train.

And like I said about "crazed" and "walking distance" here is something from 7 blocks from my house http://www.ktvu.com/news/16857180/detail.html. I pass by here almost every day. Two of my doctors are located on the same block. This is one San Francisco's busiest streets, and at noon, extremely crowded. Tell me that's not fucking crazed. It doesn't surprise me because you have the main two Sureno gang sets on both 19th and 20th and Missions st. Twentieth and Mission is THE spot for MS13, and Mission st. in general is horrible from 14th to 20th before you get a break in the action. Was this gang related? Let's see. A few weeks ago, also in broad daylight a member of MS13 murdered 3 members of the same family at a busy intersection in the Excelsior district http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/06/24/MNS011DN2V.DTL&hw=maynard+st&sn=004&sc=727 , http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/06/26/MNH411F12H.DTL&hw=maynard+st&sn=005&sc=710.
Excelsior is rival Norteno territory. The shooting on 20th and Mission is at the very heart of MS13 territory. Maybe a synchronicity. MS has its people on 3 of the 4 corners of the 20th and Mission intersection. The block going south, to 21 and Mission, is heavily populated throughout the day by MS guys, especially the western side of the block and the eastern side where the guy got shot. They operate unopposed, and blatantly out in the open. Just being here in this country is a crime they're all guilty of, not to mention the thousands of dollars a day they make from "negocio" on the block. And we're only a few weeks into summer.
